Dr. Smith first served as a dentist in the United States Air Force then he went into a private practice as an associate of Dr. Wilton Cogswell. Dr. Cogswell was an innovator and internationally recognized oral surgeon in Colorado Springs. Several years later, he started a solo practice and in 1990, Dr. Smith became a partner in Rota and Smith Dental Center located in the Briargate area. In 2010, Dr. Smith came full circle and opened his own practice in the downtown area where he is presently practicing.

We do everything we can to make your dental appointment as comfortable as possible, including ultra-comfort dental chairs, neck pillows, blankets, Nitrous Oxide and oral sedation. However the most important thing is how we take care of our patients. Dr. Smith sees only one patient at a time and does not bounce from room to room. In the use of local anesthetics, he tries to make injections as comfortable as possible using topical anesthetics, and pre warming the solutions.
